Where Tawan Pridi Began
Tawan Pridi — which translates loosely as "Sun of Pride" in Thai — opened its doors in 2017 on Witthayu Road in Lumphini, Bangkok. The centre grew from a simple observation: adults approaching their later years were underserved by financial services that either talked down to them or pushed products they did not need.
Our founders, a small team of financial educators and former banking professionals, saw an opportunity to do something different. They built a curriculum around honest information, small group learning, and long sessions with space for questions. The goal was not to turn participants into experts overnight — it was to leave each person feeling calmer and more capable than when they arrived.
Since those early days, Tawan Pridi has expanded its offerings to cover banking product literacy, healthcare cost preparation, and integrated financial life planning. Each program reflects the same founding commitment: clear information, delivered with warmth and respect.

Lead Educator & Co-Founder
Former branch manager with Kasikorn Bank, Prasobsuk brings over 22 years of practical banking experience and a calm, methodical teaching style that participants consistently appreciate.
Nanthika Wongsuwan
Healthcare Finance Specialist
Nanthika specialises in healthcare cost modelling and insurance literacy. She has worked with government health agencies and private insurers, and brings that experience into a straightforward, accessible format.
Krit Thaworn
Financial Planning Advisor
Krit leads the Integrated Financial Life Plan program, working closely with each participant to build a picture of their financial situation and explore realistic options for the years ahead.
How We Work
Our Standards and Approach
Every program at Tawan Pridi is guided by a set of principles that we hold consistently across all sessions and interactions.
Strict Confidentiality
Information shared during sessions — personal, financial, or otherwise — is never disclosed to third parties. We follow data protection best practices in line with Thailand's PDPA framework.
Small Group Sessions
We cap group sessions at eight participants. This allows each person enough space to ask questions, revisit confusing points, and receive responses that take their situation into account.
No Product Recommendations
We do not recommend specific financial products, funds, or institutions. Our role is to help you understand options — what you choose to do with that understanding is entirely yours.
Curriculum Reviewed Annually
Banking products, healthcare regulations, and tax rules change. We review our program content each year to ensure participants receive accurate, current information.
Ongoing Access After Sessions
Participants may follow up with questions for 30 days after completing a program. We want the learning to continue settling — not to end the moment the last session closes.
Professional Affiliations
Our educators maintain active membership with the Thai Financial Planners Association and participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry standards.
About Our Work
Financial Education Grounded in Thai Context
Tawan Pridi operates specifically within the Thai financial landscape, which has its own regulatory environment, banking culture, and healthcare infrastructure. Our programs are built around the products and systems that participants in Bangkok actually encounter — not imported frameworks from other countries.
Adults over 40 face a particular set of circumstances. Many carry a combination of savings built over decades, ongoing family obligations, questions about how government healthcare programs will serve them in later life, and uncertainty about how to organise what they have. Our programs address these concerns directly, in plain language, without assuming prior knowledge.
The centre is located in Lumphini, Bangkok — a central, accessible area served by the BTS Skytrain and multiple bus routes. Sessions run on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings to accommodate working participants. For those with specific scheduling needs, we are happy to discuss options during an initial consultation.
